El bootcamp <\/strong>para start-ups<\/em> de base cient\u00edfica en etapas tempranas es un seminario, de dos d\u00edas de duraci\u00f3n, dise\u00f1ado para proporcionar una visi\u00f3n integral de c\u00f3mo enfrentar el entorno cambiante de los inversionistas, adem\u00e1s del levantamiento de fondos en Estados Unidos. En el taller se profundizar\u00e1 en las categor\u00edas de inversionistas con foco en ciencias de la vida y en c\u00f3mo organizar y ejecutar un roadshow <\/em>exitoso. Adicionalmente, se explicar\u00e1n las etapas del proceso de levantamiento de fondos: posicionamiento, marketing, branding<\/em> y elevator pitch<\/em>.<\/p>\n

El bootcamp <\/em>estar\u00e1 a cargo de Greg Mannix, vicepresidente de desarrollo de negocios a nivel internacional de Life Science Nation, empresa organizadora de la conferencia Redefining Early Stage Investment (RESI<\/em>), la cual re\u00fane tres veces al a\u00f1o a empresas en etapas tempranas con fondos de capital de riesgo, inversionistas \u00e1ngeles y family offices.<\/em><\/p>\n

Greg Mannix tiene una amplia experiencia en ventas y gesti\u00f3n de marketing en grandes corporaciones de dispositivos m\u00e9dicos, y tambi\u00e9n en peque\u00f1os start-ups<\/em> a nivel internacional en el campo de la salud. Asimismo, ha trabajado extensamente en Europa, Am\u00e9rica del Norte y Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n

El bootcamp est\u00e1 dirigido a emprendedores e investigadores en el campo de la biotecnolog\u00eda con amplio dominio del ingl\u00e9s y que est\u00e9n en busca de levantamiento de financiamiento en Estados Unidos. A cada postulante invitado a participar en esta iniciativa se le pedir\u00e1 que entregue una breve descripci\u00f3n de su emprendimiento. El bootcamp tiene cupos limitados por orden de inscripci\u00f3n.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

AmCham Chile con foco en la biotecnolog\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

El Bootcamp: Fundraising and Reaching Global Investors no es la primera incursi\u00f3n de AmCham Chile en este \u00e1mbito. Anteriormente, en 2016, se realizaron dos iniciativas similares dirigidas a capacitar y promover a emprendedores chilenos en el ecosistema estadounidense. La primera de ellas fue el Bootcamp de Biotecnolog\u00eda, The Elevator Pitch, el cual se llev\u00f3 a cabo en la ciudad de Puerto Montt. Dicho evento fue conducido por Nancy Levy, fundadora de BioHealth Management, empresa consultora situada en Boston dedicada al desarrollo de negocios y estrategias de comercializaci\u00f3n del \u00e1rea cient\u00edfica. Un segundo Bootcamp se efectu\u00f3 en el mismo a\u00f1o en Estados Unidos, cuyos contenidos se centraron en el ecosistema de biotecnolog\u00eda de la ciudad de Boston y en la aplicaci\u00f3n de estrategias de financiamiento, y que adem\u00e1s se imparti\u00f3 en el Cambridge Innovation Center.<\/p>\n
