The issuance is part of a US$1 billion debt program designed to diversify the bank\u2019s sources of funding, both geographically and by type of investor.&nbsp;The private placement was aimed at institutional investors including pension funds, mutual funds, hedge funds, banks and municipalities. To launch the program, Bci had access to the FED\u2019s discount window facility, thanks to the work of Chilean and US lawyers as well as Bci Miami."}
