De acuerdo con un programa internacional, conocido como HP Planet Partners, la empresa procesa mensualmente más de cuatro millones de kilos de residuos de impresión y computación en más de 40 países. El servicio, disponible para clientes HP, incluye la recolección gratuita de residuos, de los cuales el 100% se recicla.Hewlett-Packard recently extended to Chile a program under which it collects and recycles used printer supplies, such as toner cartridges. Under the international program, known as HP Planet Partners, the company disposes monthly of over four million kilos of computer and printer residues in more than 40 countries. The service, available to HP clients, includes free-of-charge collection of the waste, of which 100% is recycled. “The environmental problem and waste creation is a complex task that, today, requires the commitment of all sectors…and is shared by HP; we have a firm undertaking to design our products intelligently to reduce the impact on the environment,” said Alberto Arredondo, HP’s business director for supplies in Latin America.
