Bajo esta medida, a la que se llegó luego de tres años de conversaciones, el Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero de Chile (SAG) podrá autorizar a ciertas plantas, aquellas que cumplan con los requisitos correspondientes, para así exportar al mercado norteamericano. De acuerdo a un estudio publicado por AmCham el año pasado, junto a Mckinsey and Company, la Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (Sofofa) y la Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (CORFO), existen oportunidades especiales para la carne de vacuno chilena en el mercado norteamericano. Under the measure, which follows three years of talks, Chile’s Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) will be able to authorize plants, which fulfill the corresponding requirements, to export to the U.S. market. According to a study published last year by AmCham, McKinsey and Company, Chile’s Manufacturers’ Association (SOFOFA) and the government’s Economic Development Agency (CORFO), there are particularly important opportunities for Chilean beef in the U.S. market.
