The mission met with AmCham members during a seminar addressed by Luis Izaguirre, executive director of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, George Lancaster, managing director of international business development at AmericasMart, an Atlanta-based wholesale marketplace, and Alex Mejia, vice president of government relations for the city of Atlanta. The speakers highlighted the state’s advantages as a trading partner, drawing attention to its strategic location as a national distribution and marketing hub, its direct air flights to almost all the world, and its rapid growth.
